GOP Candidates Ignore Water Crisis, Prefer Religious Culture Crisis

March 24, 2012

With all the spam I get on this blog page, most of it has to do with sex and drugs and extending specific body parts for extreme satisfaction. Other spam includes secret sexual sports enjoyed by celebrities. None of it addresses anything but scamming fast money from clueless people who think their next lay is more important than their next meal.  If sex is not the target, then a whole rainbow of feel good drugs is second in line.  Most of it is aimed at feeling good so you can have more sex.  These spammers are promoting Big Pharma and Fake Pharma so Americans cannot live without their drugs.  At the same time, there is a war going on on the North American Continent against drugs not bringing profit to Big Pharma.

Here come the Republicans … They want you to abstain from sex, but if you don’t, then you must keep your mistake to remind you of the conception, whether you can afford it or not.  They don’t want to pay for your medical bills, either.  They don’t want you to focus on the destruction of America’s groundwater by building petroleum pipelines, drilling and fracking for gas and oil.  And, they don’t want you to question their methods.  This is a deliberate conspiracy to force the America’s population to convert to their way of thinking and accept everything they say.  If they say it is good for you, it must be true.  It is what they don’t say that is killing you.

If that isn’t bad enough, Republicans don’t want to pay for your education, either.  The more you know, the more questions you may ask.  They would be happy if you just home schooled your children at no cost to them. Secular education is a threat to their conspiracy of cult.  Their churches want your money, too, and it is all God’s Will and it is what Jesus would do …

What this 2012 Presidential Campaign has not addressed is the most critical determination of America’s future. It is not abortion, sex, drugs or religious interpretations.  Nor is it how many wars Americans fight.  Nor is it the sales of Ambien, Celebrex, Levitra, Xanax or Oxycontin.  IT IS DRINKABLE WATER!  America’s drinkable water is polluted from all the drugs, misuse, overuse and ignorance of an uneducated consumer population.    Every time we flush a commode or urinate on a tree or in an alley, we are reducing the amount of drinkable water available to survive. There is groundwater and underground water.  The drinkable and useable kind are dwindling at an alarming rate.  America is loosing what it takes for granted!

WIKI:  Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater). Water pollution occurs when pollutants are discharged directly or indirectly into water bodies without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds.  Water pollution affects plants and organisms living in these bodies of water. In almost all cases the effect is damaging not only to individual species and populations, but also to the natural biological communities.

This United States political season is focused on narrow and selfish cultural and social issues, in the costume of religion.  These issues have nothing to do with the welfare of the human race, let alone Americans. Republicans are trying to out dumb each other by appealing to an irrational minority that cannot think beyond their next beer and church social.  Democrats are no better.  They are also trying to appeal to this same minority using reason, and of course trying to explain why the “yes we can” promise was too slow.  How many political speeches have addressed the real issues like WATER! America’s water supply is becoming endangered every time an oil and gas “accident” happens.  Americans take for granted their dwindling supply of life giving water, so they ignore the consequences of their actions.  Politicians will not address what they don’t want to talk about, because their campaign funding comes from the very businesses that are polluting what is left of our life giving water systems. Republicans endorse FRACKING!

Religion is not going to provide uncontaminated water to the world or America, it is too busy wondering what everyone else is doing with their genitals.  They are just as bad as the con artist spammers.  They want you to be one of them when the world ends.  That is their goal.  They talk a good game when it comes to helping targeted audiences that can be converted to their cult, but they welcome the horrid termination of whole populations by starvation caused by water deprivation.

This is a deliberate effort by someone (unzip your conspiracy theories right now) to distract Americans from the life altering events unfolding.  This is called distraction from the crisis at hand. This is so blatant, it has to be a conspiracy!  Can you spell AQUIFERWIKI: An aquifer is a wet underground layer of water-bearing permeable rock or unconsolidated materials (gravel, sand, or silt) from which groundwater can be usefully extracted using a water well.

WIKI: The Ogallala Aquifer, also known as the High Plains Aquifer, is a vast yet shallow underground water table aquifer located beneath the Great Plains in the United States. One of the world’s largest aquifers, it covers an area of approximately 174,000 mi² (450,000 km²) in portions of the eight states of South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas. It was named in 1898 by N.H. Darton from its type locality near the town of Ogallala, Nebraska.[1]

Ninety-five percent of the United States fresh water is underground. As farmers in the Texan High Plains pump groundwater faster than rain replenishes it, the water tables are dropping. North America’s largest aquifer, the Ogallala, is being depleted at a rate of 12 billion cubic metres (bcm) a year. Total depletion to date amounts to some 325 bcm, a volume equal to the annual flow of 18 Colorado Rivers. The Ogallala stretches from Texas to South Dakota, and waters one fifth of US irrigated land. Many farmers in the High Plains are now turning away from irrigated agriculture, as they become aware of the hazards of overpumping, and realise water is not in endless supply.

U.S. intelligence sees global water conflict risks rising – (Reuters) – Fresh water supplies are unlikely to keep up with global demand by 2040, increasing political instability, hobbling economic growth and endangering world food markets, according to a U.S. intelligence assessment released on Thursday.  The report by the office of the Director of National Intelligence said that areas including South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa will face major challenges in coping with water problems that could hinder the ability to produce food and generate energy.

The world’s supply of fresh water is running out. Already one person in five has no access to safe drinking water. Click on the map to read about some of the world’s water flashpoints.

Report sees biotechnology, agricultural exports and virtual water trade as the way forward

Global Water Security – an IC-coordinated paper —requested by the Department of State—is designed to answer the question: How will water problems (shortages, poor water quality, or floods) impact US national security interests over the next 30 years?

  • 884 million people lack access to safe water supplies; approximately one in eight people.5
  • 3.575 million people die each year from water-related disease.11
  • The water and sanitation crisis claims more lives through disease than any war claims through guns.1
  • People living in the slums often pay 5-10 times more per liter of water than wealthy people living in the same city.1
  • An American taking a five-minute shower uses more water than a typical person in a developing country slum uses in a whole day. 1

Water wars: 21st century conflicts?  – Almost half of humanity will face water scarcity by 2030 and strategists from Israel to Central Asia prepare for strife.

Water Scarcity Impacts at Least 2.7 Billion People Each Year

There are small groups of people that are aware of the current and impending water crisis spreading throughout the world.  This is a hopeful sign.  However, meaningful progress cannot be made without understanding and cooperation.  The world is short of those assets right now.  The 6th Water Conference in Stockholm is a move in the right direction.  The United Nations program is helpful.  But, actual global cooperation is lacking.  America is supposed to be a leader in modern technology. But, America is busy playing with itself and obsessing on irrelevant issues much like Nero fiddling while Rome burned. The world cannot depend on America to come up with a brilliant idea anymore.  America’s politicians have lost their collective minds.

America’s water supply is becoming endangered every time an oil and gas “accident” happens.  Americans take for granted their dwindling supply of life giving water, so they ignore the consequences of their actions. You bet, America will go to war to get water, for their allies and themselves.
