Dust Off The Old Lies For Gullible American Voters

April 13, 2012

Much of today’s intolerance in America has it’s roots in the reconstruction period after the American Civil War.  Special interests have exploited deeply rooted prejudices and resentment against equal treatment of different races as EVIL and must be stamped out. This lingering undercurrent can be resurrected from time to time with the introduction of new “enemies”.  For WWI it was the Kaiser.  For WWII it was Hitler, Mussolini and Emperor Hirohito. After WWII it was Stalin’s Communism.  All these enemies provided a profit for one industry or another.  Industries that profited from war, generally, encouraged hatred of the new real or perceived enemy.  Right now, the enemy is Muslim.

Today, these industries are using all the old enemies to label Barack Obama.  Each piece of propaganda targets a different generation of Americans.  For the elderly, Obama is Hitler.  For the Baby Boomers, Obama is a Communist and probably a Muslim.  For the psychological remnants from the Civil War, Obama is Black and was probably born in Kenya.  Industry has a formula that should work on every voting generation, because, that is what will fill their pockets.  Truth has no place in their efforts to defeat Barack Obama, so they just lie.

This was shared with me recently and should be the rule for everyone listening to the political pundits on mass media in America.  Unfortunately, humans have failed to learn this lesson for over a thousand years.  As Americans, we are the most gullible and taken advantage of for political and economic purposes.  Keep this in mind the next time you are about to repeat a rumor or spread gossip that is ‘second hand’.  Americans are guilty of taking our favorite media personality at their word for news about candidates and political parties and the most hoodlum corporations.

In ancient Greece (469 – 399 BC), Socrates was widely lauded for his wisdom.

One day an acquaintance ran up to him excitedly and said, “Socrates, do you know what I just heard about Diogenes?”

“Wait a moment,” Socrates replied, “Before you tell me I’d like you to pass a little test. It’s called the Triple Filter Test.”

“Triple filter?” asked the acquaintance.

“That’s right,” Socrates continued, “Before you talk to me about Diogenes let’s take a moment to filter what you’re going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?”

“No,” the man said, “Actually I just heard about it.”

“All right,” said Socrates, “So you don’t really know if it’s true or not. Now let’s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about Diogenes something good?”

“No, on the contrary…”

“So,” Socrates continued, “You want to tell me something about Diogenes that may be bad, even though you’re not certain it’s true?”

The man shrugged, a little embarrassed.

Socrates continued, “You may still pass the test though, because there is a third filter, the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about Diogenes going to be useful to me?”

“No, not really.”

“Well,” concluded Socrates, “If what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even Useful,  why tell it to me or anyone at all?”

The man was bewildered and ashamed. This is an example of why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem.

This view from an ethical scholar should make you think.  Unless you expend your energy giving thought to the words you speak, you will contribute to the devolution consuming America.  By allowing these deceptions to exist and ruin our lives, Americans are fulfilling observations by the Cold War leader Nikita Khrushchev.

I once said, “We will bury you,” and I got into trouble with it. Of course we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you.
Nikita Khrushchev

Politicians are the same all over. They promise to build bridges even when there are no rivers.

Support by United States rulers is rather in the nature of the support that the rope gives to a hanged man.

Bogus Khrushchev ‘Small Doses of Socialism’ Quote Makes the Rounds Again

“We cannot expect Americans to jump from capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving Americans small doses of socialism until they suddenly awake to find they have Communism.”
-Soviet Leader Nikita Khrushchev, 1959

This lie was first made up and perpetrated in the 1950s and 1960s by Right Wing extremists to scare Americans living through the McCarthy Era debacle.  Today’s Right Wing fear-mongers have resurrected false phrases to whip up a frenzy against our current President, Barack Obama. Watch the lips of Fox News propaganda and you will see references over and over about Obama being a socialist or communist.  But guess what, the extremist liars will dust off the old lies and feed them to you again and again … if you care to be fore-warned, check out excerpts from this book:

Letter from America: Keep out, Commies!

Peter Knight despairs at the anti-environmental conspiracy theorists

There was considerable passion at the time for these groups, but as things go, the early enthusiasm subsided and Agenda 21 has been mostly forgotten.

But the emergence of the Tea Party fanatics – who see unpatriotic greens under every bed – and the truly tough economic times hurting formerly comfortable middle class Americans have dragged Agenda 21 out of the political wilderness. And for all the wrong reasons.

Conservatives believe Barack Obama is trying to turn the US into socialist Europe where, they believe, Big Government controls your every move.

The financial austerity programmes of cash-strapped local councils in the US are being used by Tea Party activists who want to eradicate environmental regulations, which they see as socialist and damaging to the economy.

Among their targets are energy-saving initiatives, bicycle lanes and smart meters. They really hate smart meters, suspecting (like those barium salts) a government plot to spy on personal habits. How a radio transmitter can do this from the basement is not clear, but good science has never stood in the way of a good conspiracy.

Flat earth broadcasting

We also have Fox News, Rupert Murdoch’s hugely successful network, to thank for putting Agenda 21 back in the spotlight. Fox started frothing after Obama created a White House rural council to encourage better communications between rural communities and federal government.

An indignant Fox commentator (they do this really well) warned that the council sounded “eerily similar” to Agenda 21, which he described as encouraging a central agency that would be responsible for “oversight into all areas of our lives. A one world order.”

These Political Reich Wing extremists got their method of convincing gullible voters directly from Nazi War Criminals. Let me suggest that today’s radical attitudes were started after WWII when the US hired NAZI War Criminals to spy on the Soviet Union.  These criminals guaranteed their freedom and prospered by feeding paranoia to the United States about the Soviet Union’s plan for the spread of Communism. The US Military was duped by the War Criminal, Nazi General Reinhard Gehlen, who had made preparations to ensure his own survival after the fall of the Third Reich by microfilming the holdings of Fremde Heere Ost (German Intelligence on the Soviets) and had them placed in watertight drums, which he buried in several places in the Austrian Alps.[8]  He negotiated with the United States military, who then recruited him to set up a spy ring directed against the Soviet Union (known as the Gehlen Organization).  Gehlen employed numerous former SS, SD and Wehrmacht officers and eventually became head of the West German intelligence apparatus. He served as the first President of the Federal Intelligence Service until 1968. Gehlen is considered one of the most legendary Cold War spymasters.  Even Claus Barbie (the Butcher of Lyon, who was hired as an intelligence expert and spy) supplied false and exaggerated “Red Scare” propaganda to the US Government.  When the Soviets learned the US was using NAZI War Criminals, they captured and turned them into double agents and “Moles”.
These loyal ex-Nazi War Criminals have been using psychological warfare on the American Public since 1948.  They found the easiest segment of the American population to sway were those who do not question authority if it is cloaked in religion, and those who had a profit to make by accepting the Nazi premises.
By 1950, Operation Paperclip was in full swing.  The US gathered as many Nazi scientists as they could get their hands on to carry on the scientific advances Germany made under Hitler.  This is where the US Space Program began. This is where the Communist Paranoia called McCarthyism began.  This is where and how Republicans became convinced that all progressive thinkers are “Socialists”.  This is why such hatred is spewed, by Right Wing Extremists, when they talk about Progressives.  Get your definitions straight before you take your favorite media personality at their word.  Always check the facts you hear before you repeat what you heard.  If you don’t do this, you are nothing but a puppet.
WIKIanswers:  “Socialism Vs Communism   Socialism is the idea that the working class, the class that produces the profits, the wealth, the cars, houses, planes, steel, should take over and run things collectively, democratically, for the benefit of the majority (who also “just happen” to be workers too).Communism is the idea that society should not have classes– exploiters and exploited, oppressors and oppressed, and so on. “
Socialism generally refers to an economic system, while communism refers to both an economic and political system.
Socialism seeks to manage the economy through deliberate and collective social control.
Communism seeks to manage both the economy and the society by ensuring that property is owned collectively, and that control over the distribution of property is centralized in order to achieve both classlessness and statelessness.
Both socialism and communism are based on the principle that the goods and services produced in an economy should be owned publicly, and controlled and planned by a centralized organization. Socialism says that the distribution should take place according to the amount of an individual’s production efforts, whilst communism asserts that that goods and services should be distributed among the populace according to individuals’ needs.

WIKI: Agenda 21 is an action plan of the United Nations (UN) related to sustainable development and was an outcome of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992. It is a comprehensive blueprint of action to be taken globally, nationally, and locally by organizations of the UN, governments, and major groups in every area in which humans directly affect the environment.

WIKI:  Progressivism is an umbrella term for a political ideology advocating or favoring social, political, and economic reform or changes and opposition to conservative or reactionary ideologies.
The Progressive Movement began in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in cities with settlement workers and reformers who were interested in helping those facing harsh conditions at home and at work. The reformers spoke out about the need for laws regulating tenement housing and child labor. They also called for better working conditions for women.

The result of all this propaganda and disinformation will determine the leadership of the United States of America and the future of Planet Earth.  As long as Americans are so easily deceived and buy in to the deliberate marketing strategy of special interest industries, America’s future will be more dismal that anyone can imagine.  Even Hollywood can only speculate the disaster and carnage that would result from the continued abuse of Human Rights, attacks on Science Education, unchecked Environmental Abuse and continued dependence on a dwindling supply of oil and drinkable water.
