So, the disenfranchised extremists seek doomsday because IOWA decided it was UNCONSTITUTIONAL to discriminate against GAY MARRIAGE .  Let the hand wringing begin!..Iowa Gay Marriage

Iowa same-sex marriage ruling spurs activists

Danny Carroll, chairman of the Iowa Family Policy Center, a conservative group that opposes same-sex marriage, said the Iowa decision has put the state in uncharted waters, and other states should take heed.

Napier said his group’s efforts aren’t targeting same-sex couples, but promoting traditional families.

”It’s sad to see them celebrate for something they think is giving them which will not deliver. You can call it whatever you want to. You can call it marriage. But they’re not getting marriage. They’re getting a counterfeit. A counterfeit will never satisfy in the same way,” he said.

Voted YES on Constitutionally defining marriage as one-man-one-woman.

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution stating: “Marriage in the US shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman. Neither this Constitution, nor the constitution of any State, shall be construed to require that marriage or the legal incidents thereof be conferred upon any union other than the union of a man and a woman.”

Quotes from some Republican representatives on how they define marriage:

“It’s part of God’s plan for the future of mankind,” explained Rep. John Carter (R-Tex.).

Rep. Bob Beauprez (R- Colo.) also found “the very hand of God” at work. “We best not be messing with His plan.”

Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) agreed that “it wasn’t our idea, it was God’s.”

I think God has spoken very clearly on this issue,“ said Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.), a mustachioed gynecologist who served as one of the floor leaders yesterday. When somebody quarreled with this notion, Gingrey replied: “I refer the gentleman to the Holy Scriptures.” [emphasis added] Marriage is not about love,” volunteered Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.), who noted his 31 years of matrimony. “It’s about a love that can bear children.” [emphasis added] “The world did not start with Adam and Steve,” Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Tex.) told reporters.

Apocalypse?  Really now, with the state of the world in chaos, wars around the globe, human rights being trashed, genocide and torture, two people who love each other enough to commit to marriage is really a threat to America!  Two people who happen to have the same equipment aren’t allowed to love and commit to each other … legally?  How does that constitute a threat to anyone?  Religion, based on the ancient requirement to breed and propagate more people, to populate the tribe, really necessary in modern society?  This planet is already faced with over-population, food shortages and over-crowding, along with reducing its ability to support so many mouths to feed.  Human Rights organizations struggle to keep up with child abuse, child trafficking, child exploitation, because there are so many children.  Children who are conceived out of wedlock, out of personal gratification, out of ignorance, have cheapened their value on the world stage.  Religious ‘BREEDERS’ feel threatened by love!  Oh my goodness!  Reality is incidental to dogma.  America is NOT dissolving because two people love each other.  These insecure religious zealots are focused on ONE issue.  Lets point an accusing finger at these opponents inability to support the children they have, and who turn their backs on ‘street children’, poor children, illegal alien children, children caught up in wars and Africa’s child exploitation history.

Marriage ruling may boost Iowa economy

Iowa gay-marriage ruling draws reaction

DES MOINES — Gay couples will likely be getting married soon in Iowa, and activists on both sides of the issue claim the sight of same-sex unions in the nation’s heartland will spur other states to take action.

What’s less clear is whether the action taken will result in legislation to legalize gay marriage or constitutional amendments to outlaw it.

Supporters and opponents of gay marriage said Saturday they were energized by the Iowa Supreme Court’s forceful and unanimous ruling Friday that a state law limiting marriage to a man and a woman violates the constitutional rights of equal protection. The ruling opens the door for gays and lesbians to exchange vows in Iowa as soon as April 24.

So, there you have it!  Ultra-conservative Americans, threatened by same sex bedrooms, same sex commitment, and equal rights, are predicting THE END. The end of ignorance, maybe …
