Do you think it ever occurred to anyone, that sighted people may be disabled by what they see? The visually impaired would never have caught on that there was any surprise. They would have heard and felt the beauty in Susan’s heart, long before a sighted person caught on. A blind person would have recognized Susan is a star long before anyone else.
Makes you wonder if “handicapped” or “challenged” populations may have a bit more insight about some features in our world.

Everytime I hear Susan sing that song I choke up. It is high time the beauty of the soul ring loud and clear in our appearance obsessed society. And I hope Susan tells Oprah to stick it. Today, after applauding Susan’s overnight success and talking about bullies getting their just desserts, Oprah and her rag tag team set about making snide remarks about “make-overs” and “waxing” for Susan. May Susan stand strong and show the world what truly matters – the reason her voice is so clear and beautiful is because it reflects her heart.
